Reaching Final Peace of
Mind:
A deity once spoke this verse to the
Blessed One:
Life inevitably ceases. Short is the span of life.
No safe shelter exists for one prone to ageing..
Seeing this danger of certain
death, one should
do meritorious deeds, which brings happiness...
The Exalted Buddha responded:
Life inevitably ceases.
Short is the span of life.
No safe shelter exists for one prone to ageing..
Seeing this danger of certain Death, one should
drop the fleshy bait of this evanescent world!
