An epithet of the Buddha.
When Upaka, the Ājīvika, saw the Buddha,
and heard of his attainments, Anantajina was one of the names he used in
uttering the Buddha's praises (ThagA.ii.220).
Later, when having quarrelled with his
wife Cāpā, he sought the Buddha at
Sāvatthi, it was "Anantajina" he asked for.
