1. Bilālidāyaka Thera. An arahant. In the time of
Padumuttara Buddha he was an ascetic in the Himālaya and offered the Buddha some
bilāli tubers. Fifty four kappas ago he was a king called Sumekhali (Ap.i.145) (v.l.
Sumelaya). He is probably identical with Kosalavihārī Thera. ThagA.i.134f.
2. Bilālidāyaka Thera. An arahant. Fifty four
kappas ago he gave some bilāli tubers to a recluse at the foot of the mountain
Romasa. Ap.i.232.
