Dhanusekha (Dhanusekhavā)
Son of the cook of Queen Talatā. He was
born on the same day as Cūlani (q.v.), who was sent to the cook's house as a
refuge from Chambhī. The two boys became playmates. When Cūlani became king,
Dhanusekhavā remained his constant companion, even visiting him unbidden, thus
becoming a nuisance, as Cūlani confessed to Bherī (J.v.469, 471, 475).
