Aññāta-Kondañña visits the Buddha at
Veluvana after a very long interval (twelve years, says the Commentary
SA.i.216), and falling down on the ground kisses the Buddha's feet, uttering his
own name, "I am Kondañña, O Blessed One." Vangīsa, who is present, having
obtained the Buddha's permission, utters verses in praise of Kondañña. S. i.193.
