of refuge - e.g., by
Kassapa, son of Upatissa III. (Cv.xli.19); Jetthatissa, son of Asiggāhaka
Sanghatissa (Cv.xliv.28) and Potthakuttha (Cv.xlvii.58).
Vijayabāhu I. gave Merukandara as dowry to his daughter,
Yasodharā, who married Vīravanna (Cv.lix.27).
The village of Vacāvātaka was in Merukandara. Cv.lxx.282.
