Mittakālī, Mittakālikā Therī
She came of a brahmin family of
Kammāsadamma and entered
the Order after hearing the Buddha preach the
Mahā Satipatthāna Sutta.
For seven
years she showed a craving for gifts and honours and was quarrelsome. But later
she put forth effort and became an Arahant (ThigA.i.89).
Some verses ascribed to her are found in the Therīgāthā,
vs.92-6.
