An arahant. In the past he offered an
ājāniyahorse to the Buddha Padumuttara, but the Buddha's chief disciple, Devala,
informed him that the Buddha could not accept the gift. Thereupon he gave other
suitable gifts to the value of the horse.
Twenty-eight times he was king of all
Jambudīpa. Thirty-four kappas ago he was a cakkavatti of great power
(Ap.i.106f).
