An arahant. Eighteen kappas ago he met the Buddha Atthadassī and gave him a pilakkha fruit (Ap.i.296, repeated at Ap.ii.410). His Apadāna verses are, in the Theragāthā Commentary, attributed both to Dhammapāla (ThagA.ii.326) and to Passika (ThagA.ii.355). There may have been two of the same name.
