The Mahā Niddesa (pp. 89, 92), in its explanation of
vattasuddhikā, mentions, among others, Punnabhaddavattika, Vāsudevavattika,
Baladevavattika and Manibhaddavattika. Punnabhadda is, therefore, probably the
name of a Yakkha like Vāsudeva and Baladeva.
The N.P.D., s.v. Punna, suggests Punnabhadda, was the
father of the Yakkha Harikesa. The Mahābhārata (i.35, 1557) gives Pūrnabhadra as
the name of a serpent.
