An arahant. In the time of Vipassī Buddha he, was a
learned brahmin, and, seeing the Buddha in the forest, offered him sereyyaka (sirīga)
flowers, which formed a canopy over the Buddha's head. Fifteen kappas ago he was
king twenty five times under the name of Cīnamāla. Ap.i.155; cf. Kassapa
