1. Sotthisena. King of Benares and son of Brahmadatta. His wife was Sambulā. See the Sambula Jātaka. He is identified with the king of Kosala (? Pasenadi). J. v.98. 2. Sotthisena. Son of King Mahānāma and a Tamil queen. He succeeded Mahānāma in 431 A.C., and was killed, almost immediately after his accession, by his step sister, Sanghā. Cv.xxxviii.1.
