1. Samudda Sutta. Two or three drops of water, if
taken from the sea, are infinitesimal compared with what is left. S. ii.136 f.
2. Samudda Sutta. In the discipline of the Ariyans
it is sight, sounds, etc., which constitute the ocean. The world is, for the
most part, plunged therein. S. iv.157.
3. Samudda Sutta. The same as sutta (1). For the
person who has understanding the dukkha which he has destroyed is infinitesimal
compared with what remains in the world. S. v.463.
