A river, which flowed through Rājagaha.
On its bank
was a Paribbājakārāma where famous Paribbājakas lived in the Buddha's time
(A.i.185; ii.29, 176; S. i.153).
The river lay between Andhakavinda and Rājagaha,
and probably rose in Gijjhakūta (see Vin. Texts i.254, n.2).
It is identified
with the Pańcāna River. Law, E.G.I., p. 38.
