A thera. Ninety-one kappas ago he had fled into the forest, having committed some crime. There he saw the Bodhi-tree of the Buddha Piyadassī, and having swept the ground around it, he scattered flowers. Three kappas ago he was a king named Samphusita (Ap.i.176).
