A district in Rohana, in South Ceylon,
where the ministers Bhūta, Rakkha and Kitti obtained a decisive victory over
their enemies. This battle enabled them to get possession of the Buddha's Bowl
and the Tooth Relic (Cv.lxxiv.125-6). Geiger thinks that the place was near the
modern Monarāgala (Cv.Trs.ii.33, n.1).
